About the Event
Hello! My name is Pip. Welcome to Daisy First Aid Bristol.
I run 2 hour parent first aid classes, which focus on first aid for babies and children. Classes are held in the areas surrounding Bristol, Bath, Keynsham, Kingswood, Longwell Green, Brislington, Saltford, Whitchurch, St George, Bedminster, Knowle
Our parent first aid classes are suitable for parents of children of any age, parents-to-be, grandparents, the extended family and friends (anyone who looks after your child).
As a parent to 3 children ages 9, 5 and 3, I fully understand how you feel when they are unwell or hurt. I bring many previous experiences with me to share and having been a swimming teacher and lifeguard for over 20 years I’ve delt with many an incident, I know first hand the importance of having someone there who knows what to do.
The classes I provide are fun and informal and are designed to give you information in an easy to absorb way. There are no tests. The aim is to practice first aid skills and build your confidence so that you would know what to do in an emergency.
The class covers:
What to do if a baby or child was unconscious Recovery Positions Resuscitation and CPR Choking Meningitis Bleeding and Bandaging Broken Bones Anaphylaxis Poisoning Febrile convulsions Head Injuries
