Once upon a time at Christmas
Time & Location
About the Event
Share a story with santa and recieve a little gift!
Unfortunately, we can now only accommodate one adult per child attending the session. We are really sorry to introduce this rule, as you know how special these Christmas events are for the whole family. However the resrictions only allow 15 adults to be in the group. This number also includes staff and Father Christmas (I know, crazy as he is magical and Covid can’t touch him).
We are going to keep the hub closed for Everyday Play sessions for the week of Monday 14 December – Saturday 19 December. Even if we change tiers, this allows use to focus on our events. If we are placed in tier 2, we will then open as normal on Monday 21 December to fit in as much fun as we possibly can before Christmas. Christmas events Our once upon a Christmas event also had a pick and mix teatime within the session. We will give you these as a takeaway, so you can have a car picnic or supper at home. Menus will be sent to you to choose. We are trying to make these sessions as magical as possible with the limitations in place, and we kindly ask that you follow all of our guidelines when attending the session.
Hands, face, space
When entering the playhub we ask that you wear your mask – unless you’re exempt – and use the hand sanitizer provided. Bookings are made online, so we have the necessary details for track and trace. We will take your temperature on entry and ask that if you have symptoms of Covid 1, are feeling unwell or you or your children have been asked to self isolate, that you do not attend the session.
In the play session
We have placed special mats and prop boxes in areas for you to be able to join in with the activities and ask that you stay there for the duration of the session. Children are able to move into the middle of the circle to join in.
Leaving the session
We will have our shop open for you to be able to make purchases whilst you are here. At the end of the session we will then clean all props and areas ready for the next group. We have half an hour before the next group which gives you a chance to get everything together.
We will host a special story time session with stories, props and songs and Father Christmas will be joining us to watch. There will then be an opportunity to come and take photographs with Father Christmas and receive a special gift. You can move around the hub at this point but we ask that you keep your distance from others.
