About the Event
In both my role as a midwife and yoga teacher, my goal is to help empower and support women along their journey to motherhood.
My classes are uniquely created using my midwifery knowledge of pregnancy, labour & birth, and my pregnancy yoga training, to help you have a comfortable and healthy pregnancy and prepare for birth.
Pregnancy yoga classes are open to complete beginners to yoga, are suitable from 12 weeks, up until labour begins. Enjoying yoga while your pregnancy progresses, is a wonderful way of taking time for yourself and your baby.
Pregnancy yoga helps you stay fit and active during pregnancy, and is individually tailored to avoid and improve pregnancy conditions such as pelvic pain, sciatica or back ache.
Practising yoga in your pregnancy can help to keep your body and joints more mobile, and aids optimal positioning of your baby for birth. Breathing techniques, visualisations & guided relaxations are weaved into my classes, to help you learn coping strategies for birth, improve sleep, and reduce stress & anxiety.
Classes are also a wonderful way to meet other local mothers, to build a sense of community and support. My classes are relaxed, and you are welcome to chat and share advice and stories with each other, there is such knowledge to be found when women come together.
Many mothers who have met at my classes have kept in touch with me & each other, and have regular meet ups, and have come back to my class with their next pregnancy.
