March's Book - I’m Glad my Mom Died by Jeanette McCurdy

Hosted by Amy Gerrish, The Sunny Side Up Book Club has been running since January 2024.

We started with the aim of bringing good books back into the lives of adults who may have fallen out of the reading habit, creating a relaxed, friendly space for anyone willing to give the monthly read a go. With our roots in a play café, early book picks were shorter, recently published titles – perfect for busy parents juggling young children.

Now, we’ve grown into a vibrant little community, with members at all stages of life! We keep things accessible and fun – no heavy literary analysis here, promise. Our reads range from literary fiction to romantasy, sci-fi, non-fiction, and everything in between. The conversations are always lively, and often go in unexpected directions – it's Amy’s favourite night of the month.
